What tests are preformed on my baby at the hospital after delivery?
Your baby will have a Neonatal Screen formally PKU test, Bilirubin test checking for jaundice and a hearing test will be done on the baby.
After my newborn is discharged from the hospital how soon do I make an appointment?
Dr Stein has your baby follow up in the office two to three days after discharge, baby will be examined for jaundice and weight loss.
How often do I bring in my child for check-ups?
According to American Academy of Pediatrics you child should come in for a Newborn Visit, 2 weeks, 1 Month, 2 Month, 4 Month, 6 Month, 9 Month, 12 Month, 15 Month, 18 Month, a 2 Year visit and annually after that. At your child’s appointment our office will schedule your child’s next appointment to keep them on schedule.
