Is Ear Wax Normal?

Ear wax is normal and has more than one purpose,

-Protects the ear canal from bacteria and germs that can cause an infection.

-Keeps out dust, dirt and other particles from entering the ear canal.

-Serves as a waterproof liner.

Did you know that ear canals are self-cleaning? Ear wax should only be removed if symptoms are present. Here is a list of some signs to look out for:

-Hearing Loss

-Dizziness

*Do not push cottons swabs in your child’s ear as this can cause more problems later on.
